The subdivision of Hallowell is one of the largest in Olney, with 356 single family homes and 292 townhomes. Hallowell is surrounded by Georgia Ave., Old Baltimore Rd. , Prince Phillip Dr. and Route 108. In addition, Hallowell has several walking paths, two lakes, a community pool and tennis courts. One thing that makes Hallowell one of the more family-friendly communities in Olney is the presence of Olney Children’s Center, a full time child care center, right next to the pool and tennis courts.
While other communities, such as Olney Mill, have mostly split level/split foyer homes, the majority of Hallowell homes are colonials.
Hallowell is often (mistakenly) called Lake Hallowell, which is located off Old Baltimore Rd. on the other side of Route 108 in Olney.
Hallowell is minutes away from the heart of Olney at Georgia Ave. and Route 108, where soon we will be welcoming Harris-Teeter, the Greene Turtle, and many other stores.
Current active homes in Hallowell range from $319,900 t0 $529,000. Please click below to see some of the homes available:

Manor Oaks is located in Olney, with entrances off Georgia Ave. and Old Baltimore Rd. This is one of the newer developments in the Olney and Brookeville areas, with the construction starting in 1995 and finishing in 200o. Manor Oaks is a community of primarily modern, single family homes with smaller communities of townhomes.
Interestingly, alot of the streets in Manor Oaks all have something to do with the Beatles. Although the “Fab Four” will not be appearing in Olney or Brookeville any time soon, their legacy lives on by virtue of such streets as Silver Hammer Way (taken from “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer”), Abbey Manor Drive (a combination of “Abbey Road” and “Manor” from Manor Oaks) and Starkey Terrace (Starkey being the real name of Ringo Starr).
Manor Oaks is conveniently located minutes from the heart of Olney, in the Sherwood High School district.
Homes in Manor Oaks are in high demand, and price range is from $400,000-$800,000. Click below for current active listings:
